Burnley boost for home buyers
Buyers in Burnley are being given a boost with Keepmoat Homes' increasing its shared equity offer.
With HomeBuy Direct soon to end, the shared equity
raise is a welcome relief for many home buyers.
The revised scheme offers house hunters at the developer's
Pennine View site in Burnley 100% ownership for just 80% of the
home's price and no fees paid on the remaining 20% for up to 10
years. Previously, the scheme required buyers to raise an 85%
mortgage, with Keepmoat Homes' financing the remaining 15%.
Unique to Pennine View, it means buyers can purchase a two bedroom
Culgaith from £75,960.
The development will feature 56 environmentally friendly properties
built to the government's code three environmental
standards.
Each property will include a high efficiency condensing boiler, thermal efficient walls, specially designed windows and a roof that all trap heat in the home, reducing C02 emissions and energy bills.
Burnley is a town currently undergoing major change and has
attracted investment worth £1billion.
His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales who has visited the town,
said: "Burnley is a remarkable town, which has so much in its
favour; its residents and sense of community; its stunning 19th
Century Architecture and growing businesses."
Burnley is also a place that is creating jobs at a time when
unemployment is growing. A £70million shopping and leisure
development and a £28million health and leisure centre is
being built that will be the first of its kind in the U.K. It also
has a number of established specialist technology, digital and
manufacturing businesses.
The Pennine View development is set in the south west of Burnley, approximately 1.5 miles from Burnley Centre and less than a mile from the M65. Its central location offers excellent transport links larger cities such as Manchester and Liverpool. The homes are ideal for first time buyers, growing families or those looking to downsize.
