The A619 is the main road that runs through the south of Hollingwood. In one direction it joins the A61, the main road into Chesterfield, 4 miles away. In the other direction the A691 joins the M1 at junction 30, around 7 miles away. The A61 also runs north to Sheffield. This makes Hollingwood an ideal location for commuters. There are a number of frequent busses that run through the village and the nearest train station, Chesterfield, provides a direct link to Derby, Sheffield and even London.
