High View, Blaydon Phase 3
Development Information
Location…
Blaydon\'s history lies in mining, but since the decline of the mining industry the area has developed a strong economy built on engineering and manufacturing. The town is the well known origin of the traditional song The Blaydon Races and hosts a 10k road race on the 9 June every year.
It enjoys a prime, central location and is in close commuting distance of many of the region’s major towns and cities including Gateshead, Newcastle and Durham.
Travel…
The development is ideally located with easy access to major transport links. The A695 is the main route to the quiet village of Ryton, Crawcrook, Greenside, Prudhoe, Stocksfield and Hexham, whilst the A1 is ideal for those needing to commute to Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland and further afield.
With bus stations at Blaydon and Winlaton the area offers excellent public transport links. Newcastle International Airport, which is approximately 8.5 miles away, offers flights to the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean, North America and Canada and Australia.
Shopping and leisure…
The shopping facilities of Winlaton and Blaydon precincts offer local amenities for daily needs i.e. pharmacies and post offices. For those looking for more specialist items Gateshead’s acclaimed MetroCentre and Newcastle City centre are only a short ride away.
Blaydon also benefits from a growing industrial park which includes fabric, bathroom and kitchen, flooring, home ware, pet stores and art specialist shops.
Team Valley’s Retail World, just off the A1 and roughly 6.5 miles from the development, includes well known stores including Carpet Right, Borders, Boots and Next to name just a few.
